CNET takes a peek at Hillcrest Lab’s “Loop”

CNET’s Michael Kanellos takes a look at Hillcrest Labs‘ forthcoming motion-sensing “Loop” remote control system, and discusses its pending deployment in TV and Consumer Electronics products in 2007. Hillcrest combines a motion-sensing handheld controller with a meta-data aware software layer to bring freespace navigation to set top box interfaces, gaming and other devices. According the CNET, Hillcrest Labs has deals in place that will come to fruition in 2007, though none are specified.
